Hi all,
Our adoption agency requires us to both take 10 hours of training before we adopt. Our training consists of reading a book and watching a 4 dvd video seminar and then taking 4 tests online - one of which is essay style. I'm happy to report that both of us passed our tests - hooray. Just in the nick of time too since the testing agency only reports scores to the adoption agency once a month. I took all my tests in 1 day - not recommended but it worked out. Patti was more methodical in her approach.
Today we petitioned our real estate agent for help filling out yet another form detailing our house. Wow Russia sure is detailed in their requirements.
If any of you read this before June fifth, the Discovery Health Channel will be airing a Siberian adoption story at 10:00 am EST. We've asked Patti's mom to record this for us since we don't get this channel. Hopefully it will be good.
We've also discovered that YouTube has a few Russian adoption videos. We're still checking them out. You tube can be found here...http://www.youtube.com/

I am so happy that the process is continuing to move along. What is the process like? Is it similar to being pregnant with the feelings of excitement, anticipation and all?
Hey Matt & Patti. I stmbled on your blog the other day and wanted to say hi! Troy and I are currently adoption from Russia as well and our dossier is in Vladivostok right now. I look forward to following your journey. You can visit our blog at http://journeywiththewilliamsfamily.blogspot.com/
We are adopting through Children's Hope International (CHI). I wasn't sure who you were using as an agency but thought we may still have alot in common!!
Let me know if you have any questions on the paperwork end - it feels never ending but once it's done it's a great feeling!
